Winterland
Winterland is a Minecraft project that started out as a simple Minecraft SMP where creators could make some last memories of that year over the holidays. Since then, it has grown to be a fundraiser project that not only includes an SMP, but also some other events throughout the year.
Bluekwyrm is one of the founders and the lead organiser for the Winterland project. She ran a lot of the milestone events on the SMP and is currently busy running the between-seasons collabs. You can find more information over on:
Winterland SMP - Season 2
Season 2 was the first time Winterland turned into a fundraising project. A total of 45 creators were granted access to a vanilla server that was turned into a snowy landscape, where they could play, explore, and build for three weeks over the 2024 Holiday season.
After blasting through the original goal of $150, the next three weeks were filled with a bunch of fun events like a scavenger hunt, the Winter Olympics, Capture the Flag and more. All that while raising well over $500 for charity.
MCCi Tourney
Four teams of four battled it out on MCC Island to see who could call themselves the best. Some of the milestones included a multiplier scramble and turning on inconveniences like traps and modifiers.
The Winterland crew and their friends then moved on to the Klyx server for a Dodgebolt finale, where unfortunately Blue's team lost. Whelp. But it was a LOT of fun, both organising as well as playing.
